In this Offertory message we will consider the importance of the Sermon on the Mount in Jesus’s ministry, and how it must convict true followers of Christ. We do not prepare an offering to God on the Feast of Pentecost simply because we are commanded to do so. We do this because we believe each word of the Sermon that Jesus preached, and we know that we glorify God with our obedience and our thirst for righteousness.

Faith in God’s Holy Spirit of Power
What is the Holy Spirit? How does one receive it? Do we allow ourselves to be guided by God’s Spirit, and do we trust in its power and help? What is the sin against the Holy Spirit, and when—and only when—is one a child of God?

What does it mean to be ignorant, and how dangerous can it be for us personally? How do we deal with it? How do we respond to God’s instructions and prophecies? Do we often act ignorantly? God warns all of humanity against letting ignorance take hold of us.
The Work Will Go On
God has given us a responsibility to fulfill. What does He expect of us, and what reward does He promise those who zealously commit themselves to this task?
Faith in God’s Guidance and Direction
Are we convinced of God’s guidance and direction in our lives? What is this faith based on? What does the Bible tell us about God’s guidance through many examples? Is it possible that we experience God’s direction in unexpected ways—without initially becoming aware of it or being able to “see” it? Does God sometimes make use of His angels to encourage? What do God’s guidance and intervention look like within a Christian marriage?
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
If God gives knowledge and truth to every Christian He calls, He also entrusts them with responsibility. Whoever has received more light and understanding will be judged more strictly by God, for our life is a test and a time of character formation. Therefore, this spiritual principle applies: With great power comes great responsibility.
Give Your Amen Meaning
The word Amen is used to end a prayer. But is that the only context in which the word has been used throughout the Bible? How should we think about this word when we use it, and does it hold any implications for us today?
