In several Old Testament passages, the command is given to bind the law on one’s hand and between one’s eyes. At the time of Christ, Jews had taken these passages literally and had begun to wear boxes with portions of the law, called tephillin or phylacteries. Some Jews still do this today. But did God ever require this of His followers, and if not, what exactly is the intended meaning?

Hope and Desire in Trials
When we go through trials, do we have the faith and trust in God that He will carry us through; that He will give us the strength to endure the trial; and that He will give us the desires of our hearts? This sermon shows how we can have this confidence, and what God expects of us.
Today’s Sodom
Why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? Many do not know the real reasons. And how does God’s punishment relate to us today—and especially to those who do know the truth of the Bible?
No More Justice in the Land?
Have we reached the prophesied time when we are searching for justice, without finding any? Why this terrible increase of criminal prosecutions of noncriminal acts and innocent people, and why the great erosion of the principle that one must have criminal intent in order to commit a crime? Do Scriptures in Isaiah, Jeremiah and Micah, especially challenging the religious and political leadership of ancient Israel and Judah, have any relevance for us today?

Is there any relationship between the Ten Commandments and the Model Prayer in Matthew 6? Some parallels are obvious, such as, “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain” and “Hallowed be thy name,” but in other cases, the connection may be less clear at first sight. However, this sermon shows how the different phrases in the “Lord’s Prayer” complement each and every one of the Ten Commandments.
Religious Persecution
Religious Intolerance and rejection of godly standards are on an unparalleled rise. In Isaiah 5:20, God pronounces a curse on those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness. Satan the devil, the prince of darkness, transforms himself as an angel of light, putting darkness for light. In this program, we give numerous examples, showing what God condemns and our society upholds, and what God upholds and our society condemns. And yes, those who want to live godly will suffer persecution.

God has established the standard of what is good and what is evil. Man, having eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil has gained the capacity to judge between what is good and evil. However, the carnal nature of man causes an inevitable discrepancy between what is good according to God’s standard and what man thinks is good. The only way to correctly judge what is good is by using the Holy Spirit to build the knowledge of what God’s standards are.

Mercy and Truth
How do mercy and truth work together? One covers sin and the other doesn’t want anything to do with sin, so how do they both work together?
Adherance to Truth Equals Conversion
Christ tells us in John 18:37 that “Everyone who is of the truth
hears My voice.” That statement from the mouth of our Savior implies
that those who hear His voice respond to Christ’s words in a positive
manner. One who does not respond, positively, to Christ’s words is still of this world, which is Satan’s world.Every person called of God has been called to become converted from
the ways of this world to the ways of truth! The key to this conversion
is one’s response to the truths Jesus Christ proclaimed!
