The destructiveness of sin is exposed, and the necessity to put sin out of our lives and righteousness in, is expounded upon.

Through Christ’s death, we can obtain forgiveness of our past sins. But this does not give us the guarantee nor the strength, not to sin again. Still, we are commanded to overcome and to conquer sin on a continuous basis. How is this possible? What is the meaning of the Days of Unleavened Bread for us today? How are they related to freedom from sin? And how are they to be kept?

The problem with people not getting on together with others is not a new one – in fact such problems are as old as the hills.  Here are some Biblical examples just to confirm the historical nature of these difficulties and also that they can happen within the church.  We’ve got to pull together, as the people of God, not pull apart.  With the Passover coming up, this is an area that needs very close attention. 

God’s government and family works in a hierarchical type of system never through individuals independent of the body of Christ, His Church. To think you are part of God’s Church as an independent or group of independents is sheer folly since God does not work that way. Only through His Church can one attain salvation in this age.

How do we view hope as Christians? Do we hope as the world does, with out much faith? Or do we hope like any other attribute, which needs to be exercised and stretched?  Our hope must not be in the world or the things in the world.

Why did Jesus speak in parables? What did He want to convey? They were not meant to give understanding to the multitudes of people; and even God’s disciples misunderstand sometimes what Christ really said and meant. Are Christ’s injunctions in the Sermon on the Mount to be applied literally? Are these practical commandments, showing us how we are to live? Are we really to do good to our enemies and to help them, when they are in need? Should we really refuse to fight in war against them and to kill them? Are there any practical biblical examples which explain Christ’s Words more fully? Didn’t Christ Himself resort to violence, and didn’t He bring a sword?

We are admonished to examine ourselves to make sure that we are in the faith and walk worthy of the gospel of the Kingdom of God. But are we the victims of self-deception, thinking we are doing fine, while we are not?

The life we live is a crucible.  And a crucible is a very hot place.  This is where we separate the good from the bad.  This is where the slag is skimmed away.  This is where we expunge everything that is not Godly, so that we may become pure, just as God is pure.

What is our take on eternity? How do we think about it? Is it something that we long for? Take for granted?  How can we be assured that we will make it to the point where we can be in eternity?

The world is in darkness. It is held captive by Satan and his demons. It rejects Jesus Christ, as it loves the darkness more than the light. Christ wants to free us from darkness, so that we can become children of light. How, exactly, does this occur, and what does this mean for us?

Truth finds little more place in our day than it did when Jesus
first appeared. When it comes to understanding who Jesus Christ is and His role
over mankind, deceptive teachings blind this world from the truth. Still, truth
is the unquenchable power of God, and we who have been called must keep the true
knowledge revealed to us.
