Is was the custom of Jesus Christ to observe the Sabbath and Holy Days. He also kept the Passover, and in His fulfilling of the ultimate meaning of Passover, he left instructions about how His disciples should continue in His example. Why, then, is there so much confusion surrounding the true observance of Passover?

Terrible things are happening in Russia and Iran, but the Western world seems to be oblivious to these traumatic events. Opponents to Vladimir Putin are convinced that he is directly or at least indirectly responsible for the murder of Boris Nemtsov; and the numerous “unusual events” surrounding his murder and the many examples of prior murders of Putin’s opponents seem to support their reasoning. The Bible tells us very clearly what is about to happen in and pertaining to Russia, as well as its proxy, Iran, and why many governmental leaders seem to be sound asleep.

How committed are we to the truth and God’s way of life? What important commitment did we or do we make that is life changing to draw us closer to God?

Who gives us the Holy Spirit? In what way is the Holy Spirit “one”? Who resides in true Christians? Is the Holy Spirit a person? The Bible uses many times figurative language when referring to the Holy Spirit. Still, why are descriptions used which seem to imply person-hood and conscious activities of the Holy Spirit? Are we unduly restricting and misunderstanding some of those passages?

Do you know God? Does God know you? Many people claim to have a personal relationship with God, but do they really have it? Understanding the nature of your relationship with God will help you to build and maintain that relationship in ways that are crucial to your future.

Are we, as the saying goes, “useful to society”? More specifically, are we making use of our opportunities to do what we can and to increase in our usefulness to God as part of His “elect”?

Sometimes we allow the focus of our prayers to become too narrow. Having an all encompassing perspective in what we pray about is key to our growth in Christianity.

Are plants, animals and humans the product of an evolutionary process which began by accident when an organic soup was bombarded by gases from the universe? Was Darwin correct when he called man nothing more than a walking amoeba? Why are there living fossils? Did man evolve from apes? Was Neanderthal an ape or a man–or was he a missing link? Is the Radio Carbon method correct which scientists use to determine the age of remains? Would the Bible allow for the existence of a Loch Ness monster or Bigfoot?

How strong are we when it comes to our faith and when our faith is being tested, will we give in to the enemies of faith? What are these enemies of faith?

Ephesians 6:16 commands us to take the shield of faith, as an important part of the armor of God, which will enable us to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. How does the Bible describe this shield, and what is meant with the fiery darts of the wicked one? Further, what kind of faith is necessary? Is true faith just a defensive “weapon,” or is more required?

The Bible speaks of those who are bold and it equates this with righteousness. How can we be sure that we are righteous and bold? As we continue to grow we can be sure that our boldness will be tested. How will we stand? And what shall we stand for?

Is there a 7,000 year plan for mankind’s salvation which corresponds to the creation week described in Genesis, or is there more? Would an exact understanding of all the historical events described in the Bible give one the key to salvation. What should Christians be doing to attain the salvation God is offering?

In the days leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He told His disciples that a Helper would be sent after He left them. What is the Helper that Jesus talked about? How can It work in your life?

The tongue is very practical in the physical sense as it is a very useful tool when it comes to eating, fighting sickness, and speaking. In the spiritual sense, the tongue can be a blessing but also a dangerous weapon.

The last six of the Ten Commandments tell us how we are to love our neighbor. In this sermon, we will see how the Prophets describe godly love towards our fellow man, emphasizing the need to honor our parents, to avoid and shun hate and murder, as well as adultery and fornication, stealing, lying and covetousness. Many reject God’s law and as a consequence, they love the evil, while hating the good, and when they are told what they are doing, they do not want to listen. But God knows and sees their ways, and He will not be silent forever. God chastises whom He loves.

It is easy to become discouraged by the difficulties that we face as Christians living in a world that is contrary to the ways of God. However, the Bible is clear that we have many reasons to have a positive attitude. With a positive attitude, we gain the strength to overcome this world and find peace.

When we become baptized and a member of the Church, how does our life change? Does it change for the better or worse? A lot depends on our attitude and how we look at life. Are we better off now that we have become members of the body of Christ?
