Are we physically and spiritually prepared for the Fall Holy Days as this time pictures what the future will be like when Christ returns to establish His Kingdom here on this earth.  We need to be ready with patience as we are being trained now, through the understanding that God has given us, so we can reach perfection.

What does the Bible say about marriage, divorce and celibacy? What do we learn in the Bible about “same-sex marriages,” polygamy and mixed religious marriages? When is a divorce permitted? Is it a sin to marry or not to marry? When is the one preferable over the other? When one wants to marry, are both potential mates ready for marriage? How can we improve our marriages?

In the 3rd chapter of Revelation we find the church of Laodicea mentioned.  This church is mentioned as spiritually naked.  Later on it is mentioned that the true church is making herself ready and clothing herself with righteous acts. Let’s discover the difference between the two.

Following Israel’s demand for a king to fight their battles, God instructed the judge and prophet Samuel to anoint Saul as their king. Saul received God’s Holy Spirit, but he failed miserably. Why? In this sermon we will show you numerous examples of Saul’s misconduct leading to his downfall. They must serve as a warning for us. If we repeat King Saul’s mistakes, we might be likewise at risk of falling away from God.

If the world as we know it is passing away, of what value are our human achievements now? Sometimes it might seem that the work that we do is meaningless in the greater context of God’s plan. With this in mind, how can we find fulfillment in the activities and achievements of our lives?

Discipline requires motivation, hard work, and keeping your eye on the goal.  For us to be good teachers and leaders, we need to be taught and led first ourselves through discipline.  This is our training process and as we continue to learn, through the examples in the Bible and the instructions from God by living His way of life, we will eventually achieve perfection.

Does the Bible give us any indication as to whether Great Britain will leave the EU–and whether or not Greece will leave the Eurozone? Once we understand how Britain and Greece are described in biblical prophecy, an interesting answer might emerge.

From the beginning, people have refused to patiently obey God, and the consequences for such rebellion have proven to be very tragic! How can we take these lessons to heart and learn to wait for God?

When we face an uncertain future filled with potential trials—or when great opportunities lie before us, what should we do? There are astounding promises in the Word of God for Christians, and we can confidently turn to Him as we fulfill our calling to salvation.

Faced with impossible circumstances, a natural human response is to become stymied, not knowing what to do. At times, there may be many options to consider, yet none may be right. Since the calling of a Christian is a call to action we need to know where to begin, especially when facing the seemingly impossible.

Paul had to endure much hardship, but he never gave up. This sermon discusses many of his trials, including his unjust arrests and illegal imprisonments; several attempts to murder him; numerous false accusations against him by Jews and Greeks; and many conspiracies by unbelieving Jews with the declared goal of assassinating him. But Paul knew that his trials served a godly purpose. And we will see how he received strength to endure victoriously, becoming worthy for the Kingdom of God.

Recent events in the Church of God have given rise to people who all claim that they are following God’s lead—that they are going by the book, the Bible. Really?

Do dreams come from God? Does God give us secret instructions through dreams, which could be interpreted in different ways? How can we ascertain whether someone has received a dream from God, or whether someone tells false dreams? Is the concentration on dreams often times nothing but superstition? Do we need dreams and signs in order to believe God and obey Him?

Why do some resist the truth and walk away from it? Could a lack of faith, sinful conduct, anxious thoughts, the pleasures of this world, bitterness, or false priorities be decisive reasons as to why some do not understand the truth, and why others do not understand it anymore?

In the book of Revelation, the Church of Philadelphia is described as having a little strength. What characterizes the strength that Christians need to have? Where does that strength come from? How is the strength of a Christian different than worldly strength? Answers to these questions will help to guide spiritual growth and development that is so important for Christian living.
