The Passover and Christ’s Sacrifice

Properly baptized members of God’s Church who have received the Holy Spirit are commanded to partake of the New Testament Passover, but they must do so in a worthy manner. They must be able to appreciate the significance of Christ’s Sacrifice for their personal lives. They must understand what Christ did and does for them, and they must respond accordingly. But far too often, they do not. This sermon will show some pitfalls and dangers in thought and action.

God or Man? – Part 1

How (Not) To Be a Pharisee!

Christ startled His disciples when He declared to them that they would not inherit the Kingdom of God if their righteousness was not to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees.  The Pharisees were considered to be extremely righteous and law-abiding religious leaders, so how could anyone exceed their righteousness and their zeal for the law? The victory of “shooting star” and “superman” Sebastian Kurz during the last Austrian election, in conjunction with the strong possibility of a coalition with populist Heinz- Christian Strache, successor of Jörg Haider, has thrown Austria into the country’s right-wing corner of the political spectrum. 31-year old Kurz has claimed to make Austria great again, and Germany wonders why they don’t have someone like Kurz. In all the hype and euphoria, most important and relevant issues are being overlooked or forgotten, including the critical question as to biblical prophecy and the nature of sin.
