The importance of walking in the footsteps of Christ, using the fruit of the spirit as a guide to accomplish that task to ensure we are staying on track.

God has promised–He has made unmistakably binding declarations
regarding what He will do! Furthermore, the Bible reveals that God’s promises
are fulfilled when He gives them. We need to understand how they apply to us and
what our responsibility is regarding the promises of God!

It was prophesied that the love of many would grow cold and so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to true Christians when this happens.  The Bible reveals that there are those who may kill, thinking that they do God service and that there would be wheat and tares in the church.  As Jesus was betrayed and persecuted, Christians can expect no less.

How can you have a close relationship with God? How can you draw near to Him? And how can you make sure that that relationship is not destroyed?

Every year before the annual Passover service, baptized members of the Church of God traditionally go through the process of self examination.  This message looks at areas that may not necessarily be considered during this process.  It also covers the need to address inter-personal relationship problems, if they exist.

A look at the origin of the Sabbath and what it points to, as part of the creation week. Also, how Christ and the apostles kept the Sabbath and how we will keep it in the millennium since it is a perpetual covenant between God and His people forever, and points to the true God of the Bible.

In this fourth installment of our series on the letter to the Philippians, we are discussing verses 9 to 18 of the second chapter, and in particular, how to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling; how to become  blameless and harmless children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; and how to shine as lights in the world.

Forgiveness is a central concept to the lives of all Christians. In order to
take advantage of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which is the only way to become
forgiven for our sins, we need to live in a manner worthy of that forgiveness.
Repentance of our sinful ways and granting forgiveness to others are both
required if we seek forgiveness for our sins. By putting these two principles
into action, we contribute to our own salvation and the salvation of others as
well.

Continuing with the second part on what the world is confused about, when it comes to practices such as homosexuality, divorce, fornication, what happens to us when we die, the trinity, and the concept of tithing.  What does the Bible have to say about these topics?

In this third installment of our series on the letter to the Philippians, we are discussing the first eight verses of chapter 2, and in particular, that we can obtain unity in God’s Church, when we follow Christ’s example of humility and love, who was in the form of and equal with God, but He emptied Himself and became a man to suffer and die for us, so that we could become born-again members of the very Family of God.

In this second installment of our series on the letter to the Philippians, we are discussing the remainder of the first chapter, and in particular, how Paul’s circumstances led to the furtherance of the gospel; why he rejoiced when ministers preached with improper motives; what he meant when he spoke of his “departure” and that for him, “to live is Christ, and to die is gain,”  and why living worthy of and suffering for the gospel is a proof of perdition to our adversaries.

Much misinformation is being circulated these days, as to what is in store for Egypt. But what does the Bible say about the future of Egypt, other countries in the Middle East, modern Assyria and the modern houses of Israel and Judah?

Christ’s prayer to the Father in John 17 holds important information for true Christians. From the fact that Christ is God’s son, to the fact that we are to be striving to live good lives. The need to preach the gospel and sanctification are also touched upon.

In this first installment of our series on the letter to the Philippians, we are discussing the background as well as the concepts of “saints,” “bishops and deacons,” the nature of God and the gospel of the Kingdom of God. We are addressing the reasons for Paul’s confidence that the Philippians would “make” it into the kingdom, cautioning at the same time that we must examine ourselves and make certain that we do not become disqualified. We are also explaining the difference between swearing and affirming and the fact that Christ lived in Paul, as He must live in every converted Christian today.

The way we conduct ourselves now, and as the Day of the Lord approaches has a serious impact to our future. God desires that all mankind might repent and turn to Him. The Bible also makes it clear that He is patient to give us time to do so. However, our repentance is not something that should cause God to wait on us. The sooner that we turn to Him, the sooner His Kingdom may be established. 

 In order to understand what is happening now and what will
develop, we need to learn from past examples. Wrong behavior, what the Bible
identifies as sin, has an inevitable penalty–it always did in times past, and
it will in the future.

There were false prophets among ancient Israel; Christ warned of many false prophets still to come; and the book of Revelation speaks of the false prophet who will deceive the whole world. In the final analysis, all these false preachers and “foretellers” have their origin in ancient and modern Babylon.

There are many controversies and misconceptions the world is confused about when it comes to certain holidays such as Christmas, Easter, New Years, Halloween, and when it comes to commandments such as idol worship, taking God’s name in vain, murder, and also things like voting, jury duty, unclean meats, smoking and tattoos.  What does the Bible have to say about such practices?
