The Sabbath was made for man and was instituted by God on creation week as a day of rest and worship to Him. It is also the only sign given to true Christians that we are worshipping the one and true God . No other day has been designated for true Christians to worship God.
We are surrounded today by lies and liars - emanating from every nook and cranny of society. We must be careful that we don't get caught up in this practice that is roundly condemned by God. Lying is a grievous sin. For liars, it brings the second death. Jesus always told the truth. And that is the way that we should be.
The Psalms have always been a source of inspiration and encouragement for Jews and Christians alike--especially, when facing difficulties and trials. But did you know that the five books or sections of the Psalms are mirroring the five books of Moses, and that there is a prophetic story flow in the collection of Psalms--starting with our life in this present evil world of Satan, and concluding with God's rule over all of creation?
How much of God's Holy Spirit do you have? Can you receive more? Are you effectively using what God has given to you?
As a parent, we have one of the greatest responsibilities, privileges, and opportunities to raise a child to become a member of the family of God. The Bible is full of instructions and guidelines for child rearing. If we follow these principles we can aide our child in the process of becoming God fearing adults.
Is it ok to lie at any time for any reason, whether considered "innocent" or serious? Are we strong enough to stand up for the truth in any given situation where many would take the "easy way" out by lying about it? What does the Bible have to say about lying and how serious is it?
The jobs we have are important so that we can survive. Our spiritual jobs are more important because they preclude our eternal life. We have to do our best to overcome sin and trust in God for everything. We are to be as lighthouse's shining in this world of darkness, showing people by our good actions what it means to be a christian.
In the Old Testament, several poetic devices were used for teaching, prophesying or worship. Although constituting sophisticated art in the truest sense of the word, they were a delight to read and recite, and they are an important means for better understanding. Take a journey with us to learn more about the Hebrew poetry of acrostic and parallel writing.
In the parable of the sheep and goats in Matthew 25, it is readily evident that the sheep are considered blessed and the goats will receive the everlasting punishment. The real question is, what makes the sheep better?
The Bible records examples of those who were without God in their lifetimes and those whom God was with. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ has made it possible for Christians to be with the Father and Christ both now and, ultimately, as members of the everlasting Family of God.
Are we supposed to try to change or convert others so that they will accept and live by the truth? Does God try at all times to lead every human being to salvation? Why do Christians have to be drawn by the Father? Why are they described as firstfruits, predestined, called, elect, or chosen? Why is God's true Church identified as the "little flock"? Why does God blind the eyes of people?
Thousands of years ago God warned Noah about a coming flood. Noah listened to and lived. What words of warning has God provided for the world and His church today?

Systems provide us with a structure for making decisions and acting in order to achieve a desired outcome. Feedback loops within a system act to stabilize or destabilize a system. A negative feedback loop in a system stabilizes an environment so the desired outcome can be reached more reliably. The Bible provides us with a system by which we can live our lives. By applying the negative feedback loop of repentance in the system of living a Christian life, we can overcome sin, and reach the desired outcome of eternal life.
When we are offended or when we offend someone, what are we to do to be reconciled and to establish a peaceful relationship? The Bible tells us very clearly, but its injunctions are perhaps violated more often by Christians than any other commandment.
As followers of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, we are to do everything we can to live in peace with our fellowman. God commands us to seek and pursue peace and to be peacemakers; and He does not command us to do something which would be impossible for us to accomplish. The Bible gives us principles which show us what to do--and what NOT to do--to maintain peaceful relationships.
God often warns people before correcting them. Few people are willing to listen. In Jeremiah 22:21 God said "I spoke to you in your prosperity, But you said, 'I will not hear.' This has been your manner from your youth, That you did not obey My voice." Are we willing to hear and heed the warnings God has preserved for us in His word, the Bible?
Can we expect protection from God during these difficult economic times? What is required on our part to expect His Protection?
Being forgotten by His people Israel was--and
is--something God solemnly warns about. The consequences for the nation have in
the past and will in the future lead to national punishment.
Forgetting God also holds grave warnings for
Christians.
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden."
